The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation (IAF) is a UK charity that makes a difference to young people’s lives. The IAF supports the development of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award across the world. More than eight million young people from over 140 countries and territories have completed the Award.
We are currently looking to recruit a Service Desk Analyst, based in London, to help support the growth of the Award around the world at a very exciting time, where we are introducing new IT services to support both Award operators and participants.
The Service Desk Analyst will be responsible for the provision of efficient and timely IT support to staff based in the UK and abroad. He/she will be responsible for responding to support queries by telephone, email and face to face, logging the details in the appropriate system and either resolving the issue or escalating to the appropriate outsourced supplier.
A fundamental part of this role is to provide IT support covering a wide variety of hardware and software including specialised and bespoke business applications.
The Service Desk Analyst will be expected to become the specialist for core applications and provide training to other users either in face to face environments or using other technical communications methods (e.g. Skype). In addition to this the Service Desk Analyst is required to participate in IT projects and assist with any other tasks as required. The role is primarily London based but may also require international travel.
The successful candidate will be an exemplar of customer service, displaying great communication skills and an excellent telephone manner. Organised, and with good administration skills, the role incumbent will be analytical and able to use the full suite of Microsoft Office programmes.
