Accountabilities:

• As part of the Central Maintenance organization, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will be a support to the Reliability Team and the other Technical Groups;
• Promote safe behavior, interact with the personal on Safety;
• Participate in the Maintenance Management program (Work Management, Shutdown Management, Defect Elimination, Hydrocarbon Management, Condition Monitoring, Operate for Reliability, Tactics Development, Competencies Development and Performance Indicators) and lead some of the streams;
• The Senior Mechanical Engineer will support the Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis process and other Condition Monitoring activities;
• The Senior Mechanical Engineer will promote Reliability studies, will lead the Defect Elimination process (Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys);
• Consultant for the mechanical technician in the other groups of Central Maintenance: Garage, Rebuild Shop, Infrastructure Electrical and Mechanical, Shutdowns crew, Building Trades;
•  Advisor to the Contractors Management team;
• Participate in the Tactics Development using RCM, FMEA and Reverse RCM methods; provide support for the Preventive Maintenance, Standard Works and Standard Operating Procedures;
• Support the training program, the development of training and may have to deliver some training to the management, technical groups and trades;
• Report to the Reliability Team Leader;

 

Educations & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree – Mechanical Engineering
• P.Eng in BC or other province
• 8 years & more of experiences
